Wednesday Sector Laggards: Industrial, Consumer Products

The worst performing sector as of midday Wednesday is the Industrial sector, showing a 0.1% loss. Within that group, Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) and Stericycle (NASD: SRCL) are two large stocks that are lagging, showing a loss of 5.6% and 1.4%, respectively. Among industrial ETFs, one ETF following the sector is the Industrial Select Sector SPDR ETF (AMEX: XLI), which is down 0.1% on the day, and up 4.50% year-to-date. Delta Air Lines, meanwhile, is up 41.44% year-to-date, and Stericycle is up 1.36% year-to-date. Combined, DAL and SRCL make up approximately 2.3% of the underlying holdings of XLI.
