Recently, eBay announced that it is extending its partnership with on-demand shipping and packaging company Shyp into the Los Angeles market. The company had launched pilots with Shyp in New York, Chicago and San Francisco in December last year and the expansion comes on the back of the success of these pilots. With this partnership, sellers on the eBay platform can use services of Shyp, which will pick the products sold within 20 minutes, professionally pack them and mail them to the buyer on behalf of the seller. This provides ease of shipping to the sellers and makes selling and delivering on eBay seamless. The pilot roll out of this partnership had very encouraging results. We believe that, by providing shipping convenience, eBay could well increase the number of active users on its platform.
