Wednesday Sector Laggards: Industrial, Financial

In afternoon trading on Wednesday, Industrial stocks are the worst performing sector, showing a 0.2% loss. Within that group, Southwest Airlines Co (NYSE: LUV) and American Airlines Group Inc (NASD: AAL) are two of the day's laggards, showing a loss of 8.0% and 6.7%, respectively. Among industrial ETFs, one ETF following the sector is the Industrial Select Sector SPDR ETF (AMEX: XLI), which is down 0.3% on the day, and up 1.03% year-to-date. Southwest Airlines Co, meanwhile, is down 10.92% year-to-date, and American Airlines Group Inc, is down 16.34% year-to-date. Combined, LUV and AAL make up approximately 3.0% of the underlying holdings of XLI.
