After the US Federal Reserve (Fed) under FOMC chair Janet Yellen ended its zero-interest rate policy last December to initiate a ‘lift-off’ in rates after a decade, financial markets appeared to welcome the move regarding it to be a sign of confidence in the US economy. Who knows if the decision was a mistake, but some have posed the question. |
