Under Pressure: High Yield Bond New Issues, Broader Market Slide In Secondary

The secondary high-yield market started the last week of the third quarter under significant pressure this morning, with new issues, energy credits, and even widely held par-plus names trading one point lower or more. Stocks were down 1-1.5% heading toward mid-morning; U.S. Treasuries mounted gains; and high-yield ETFs were broadly negative, ranging roughly negative 0.5-1% so far this morning, with fallen-angel fund ANGL a notable outlier, declining 1.3% thus far, trade data show.
