Several European nations have extended a ban that prohibits opening or increasing any short position on financial stocks. The European Securities and Markets Authorities, a sort of pan-European SEC, announced on Wednesday that Spain and Italy had extended their ban on short-selling, while France’s AMF and Belgium’s CBFA did the same. |
