Softbank's Masayoshi Son spoke this week to anyone who would listen and/or give him free air time to sell his proposed merger of T Mobile with his 80% owned Sprint. He believes high speed mobile data market in the U.S. market is ill served by Verizon and AT;T which offer slow speeds at exorbitant prices. Combining with T Mobile, he will control almost a third of the U.S. market, slash prices and be a truly disruptive competitor. |
