Nokia Steps Up The Pace As The Third Quarter Begins

July 02, 2013   |   July 2013 Bond Updates
Nokia is starting out the third quarter with a bang. It announced in the first days of July that it was buying the half of Nokia Siemens Networks that it didn't already own from Joint Venture Partner Siemens. On July 11, 2013 it is holding a press conference in NYC, ostensibly to announce its newest phones to replace the Lumia 920. Rumors abound that the phone will have an extraordinary low light camera with many features. With its lower price points and need to gain traction, the Lumia phones are a much better deal for the Telcos who don't have to offer huge subsidies when they sell a phone. What Nokia truly needs is a breakthrough advertising campaign to create a buzz around its new line of products. So far, any help from Microsoft has been well concealed.
