New OCC Head Disowns Post-Crisis Lending Guidelines, Expects Leverage To Increase

Joseph Otting, head of the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, said yesterday that leveraged finance bankers shouldn’t consider themselves bound by the lending guidelines the agency issued in the wake of the financial crisis.
