With about 30 minutes to go before Tuesday's closing bell Wall Street looked set for a rocky finish, even after brushing off Moody's latest batch of European sovereign downgrades earlier. The major indexes were at session lows and threatening to head deeper in the red. Things turned around in that last half hour though, and by day's end stocks had bounced off the bottom to close the session virtually flat. |
