Yesterday’s second Congressional hearing on the broader impact of the Volcker Rule provided an opportunity for representatives of each of the five federal regulatory agencies responsible for Volcker to testify before the House Financial Services Committee. Those looking for further indication that the regulators might soon respond to requests for clarity around the ownership issue would have been disappointed, although there was some encouragement that regulators understand the issues facing the CLO market.
