So far this year, up to November 14th, $548 billion worth of leveraged loans have been issued, which is more than the $535.2 billion issued in 2007, the previous peak year. That’s not alarming. What is alarming is that more than half of this year’s issuance has been “covenant-lite.” That’s more than double the 2007 peak year level. |
