Gauging the pace of holiday spending is a key sport among analysts this time of year, so in keeping with the spirit of the season we take a deep look into October personal income and spending data to see what the data might indicate about the season. What we found is less overall income growth compared with a year ago plus a few other things to suggest a less robust Y/Y increase in spending compared with 2014.
