FTSE Major's Dividend Cover Hits 'Seven-Year Low' But Should Investors Be Alarmed?

The dividend cover for Britain’s largest quoted companies, a measure of how sustainable dividends are, has declined to its lowest level since 2009, with the dividend cover ratio among the UK’s top 350 companies - in the FTSE 100 and FTSE 250 - falling to below 0.8 times and down 18% year on year.
