Forbes China, the licensed Chinese-language edition of Forbes China, is out with the magazine’s latest annual ranking of mainland China’s best small businesses in its January issue. The compilation is based on Forbes Asia’s “Best Under a Billion” list, and includes separate tallies for the country’s 100 top listed and unlisted small companies. One difference from Forbes Asia’s scorecard: Rather than businesses whose annual sales are below $1 billion, Forbes China surveyed even smaller firms whose revenue is between 10 million yuan and 1 billion yuan ($1.6 million and $163 million). Candidates needed to be in that range in the 2013 calendar year.
