About two weeks after the ECB decided to intervene bond markets and buy Spanish and Italian debt in secondary markets in order to push skyrocketing yields lower, the institution headed by Jean-Claude Trichet has shown that it will remain cautious in its purchases.  A look at holders of Italian debt reveals the probable future of the ECB?s own QE, according to research by Barclays.
