Isolated global economic data is beginning to paint an interesting picture despite a glaring lack of liquidity (and general interest) in the foreign exchange (forex) market lately. It's certainly no Picasso, no masterpiece, not quite yet anyway, but considered in its own right, one could say that policymakers are trying desperately to paint the foundations for something significant that will have a positive influence. For evidence, cast your eye toward the foreigner at the helm of the Bank of England (BoE) to appreciate what efforts are required to win over a cynical populous. Governor Mark Carney's work has only just begun at the BoE and the Canadian investment banker has yet to win over his own crew.
