The quarterdeck of Esprit appears to be cursed. Stocks plunged for the second day after both its CEO and chairman abandoned ship. Shares on Thursday fell 12.4% after plunging 22% the previous day, the most in 15 years, upon news that CEO Ronald van der Vis was leaving the company. Stocks were suspended Wednesday but resumed the next morning. |
