Another day, another mortgage settlement from a major U.S. bank. After last week's $25 billion settlement over improper foreclosure practices between five banks and state and federal authorities, Manhattan U.S. Attorney Preet Bhara announced a $158.3 million settlement with a Citigroup mortgage subsidiary over failing to comply with requirements for government loan insurance. |
