Summer is traditionally a time of travel -- and lots of driving to vacation spots -- but for the nation's Big Three automakers, sales in August were a very mixed bag: Chrysler reported a 20% surge in deliveries, while Ford's sales ticked up just 0.4% and the embattled General Motors posted a 1% decline. |
