It’s been fashionable in recent weeks to marvel at the vigor of the stock market despite the unusual number of “Black Swan” events taking place around the globe, but I’m not buying into that particular ornithological metaphor. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the term, it derives from an expression that was popular amongst medieval Londoners that referred to an event whose occurrence was believed to be impossible. |
