I have been kicking around the Asia Pacific Region (APR), physically, professionally, intellectually and emotionally, for the better part of half-a-century. I count close friends in all the countries of the region (with the exception of North Korea!). By virtue of being visiting professor at Hong Kong University Faculty of Business and Economics, with excellent students, I maintain a good and fruitful rapport with the next generation. It has been an immense privilege over this last half-century to be a close witness to what is undoubtedly one of history’s most fascinating narratives.
